The blade favors one side more than the other (very slightly) and it does hit the liner. There are a few scratches on the serial number side of the blade that I can live with.....for now. If it bothers me enough, I'll send it to Queen for a fix.

Mr. Schatt & Mr. Morgan are some great guys leaving you that beautiful knife ;)

The stag is just great - I really like the shape of that knife. Thanks for sharing!

Let's see.... spear point, burnt stag, long pull, and a bare end. Check. That's a winner!

Very nice looking knife. Is that a saber ground blade? Any indications as to what the blade steel is?

"Queen Steel" is currently 420HC.

Very nice. A sign of things to come with the new management at Queen?

Ugh. I never understood why Queen chooses to use an inferior steel for their premium line.

This!!!!!

I find that D2 is an upgrade for sure. I consider it basically stainless.

Their Ats34 has been great for me too. I really do like it.

Even 1095 would be preferable to me, by far.

This pattern is very tempting to me.

Because of the thickness of the blade, every one I have seen rubs a little at some point on the blade. Generally on the pile, only because that is where the natural opening pressure pushes. This is something the factory will have to address, because the new F&W Kentucky Shiner model is very nice but every one I have seen sits on the mark side liner.

That one sure looks great! Reminds me of the "Stabber Jack" thread from a while back, only a bit smaller.

Also... 420HC, when properly tempered, can be quite good. It's no D2, of course, but it's far from junk!
