Mr. Tenacious or Mr. Persistence?

I'm kind of torn between these two. They're both at the same price $37, but I don't know which one to buy. I know, it should be a no brainer. However, I'm afraid of getting the tenacious and finding out that it's a bit too big for me. And yes, I know that they're about the same size. Is the tenacious a good size for edc, or is the persistence a bit better? Should I go big or should I go home?

I didn't know there was a way other than go big go home. :) Seriously though I carry the tenacious and its about perfect for me. But I'd rather have a "large" EDC. You won't be disappointed with either one.

Do you have any knives currently that are close to these size wise?

You're going in a good direction, but it is hard to recommend which size as that is purely personal. You can't go wrong with either though as Spyderco makes great knives at nearly every price point.

Most of my knives are closer to the Tenacious, so that would be my choice.

I think that the tenacious would be a nice step up from the 2 inch blades that I have. I think that they're just a tad bit too small. Might as well, more blade for the same amount of money.

I don't have a tenacious, but I EDC a persistence and love it. Perfect size for most EDC tasks.

Don't sweat it too much. Just get the one you like the most.

If their the same price get the bigger one it will last longer. I think they both suck BTW, get a Utilitac or Rat 1 or 2. Cheaper and better quaility.

I have both and like both, I have one of every size in the line actually. I also have a crap ton of other knives in that same size and price range including the RAT-1 &2 and a whole mess of kershaws. I prefer kershaw just because I like flippers especially with AO. The clash is a great choice in that size and price range.

But back to the main topic. Get one, then the other. :D

Start with the either one, there both great EDC blades.
Let's face it.
Whichever you pick first, you'll end up getting the other too!

I have the Tenacious and I love it. Not too big. That said, I intend to buy Persistence, Resilience, and Ambitious. I can assure you they do not suck.

I carried the Persistence every day for over a year, using it just about every day. I chose it over the Tenacious because I often use blades around other people and wanted to minimize weird looks. I like it better than the Rat 1 & 2.

I have two tenaci (plural for tenacious 😜) that I've put through HARD use over the last year. Needs re sharpening often but I guess that depends on your POU.

I will say that the handle on the tenacious has quite a bit of extra bulk. Carries pretty heavy in the pocket.
