Hey Guys

I am just gaging interest in something new I am trying. It is a strop that will fit in an Altoids tin. Right around 1/2" thick. It fits in the tin with room left for other gear. I am thinking of adding this as an accessory to a set of my strops

This is closed with the strop the fire striker and rod and both lighters with a little room left.

Good thinking.

Have you considered using some epoxy to glue the leather to the lid or bottom of the tin? Scuff the metal with some coarse sand paper to aid in adhesion.

If you don't have epoxy you can use silicone caulk. It sticks well and is easier to remove if you'd like to replace the tin or the leather.

How are you planning to hold onto it while you use it (preferably without cutting your hand)?

I like to glue a strip of leather to the back of a hone, a hone case, a sheath, anything I can hold onto that I'll be carrying anyway. Charge it with tripoli compound and you can use it a long time before you have to charge it again.

I have a two sets of your strops. They are great. I would try an Altoids size strops.

KSF does something like that with great success, although they aren't quite sized to fit in a tin. I think if you pair it with the tin (you can buy them at countycomm CHEAP), you'll sell the crap out of them.
