Jack (mrknife) has become a close friend over the last couple of years. We talk often and in one of those conversations since he is in the medical field I told him of this big surgery I have coming up. So a couple of days ago I go to the mailbox to find a priority postage box from Brooklyn. You guessed it Jack sent a gift wishing me a speedy recovery. In it I found a beautiful S&M Granddaddy Barlow in Elk stag and a C scale Suzuki harmonica along with a get well soon note. In the note he said the harmonica would be good to help keep my lungs clear after surgery but I was thinking it may get me out of the hospital a little earlier than the estimated 2 weeks or so. :D Now for those of you that might think the harmonica is a strange gift Jack is a harmonica player and I played guitar in bands and as a studio musician for30 plus years. I've gotten so old now I am only teaching, jam with friends and take on the occasional recording project.

Anyway I just want to say thank you Jack for the wonderful gifts but more so for your friendship.
I have had so many folks here to gift things to me it's amazing. As said before by so many this place we call the Porch is full of some of the kindest and most generous people on the planet and Jack you are right there with the very best of them my friend.
