First I'd ask that you reread the warning that I sent you. It is an not infraction and explains why you got it. If it helps think of it more as a heads up about the rules. Paying members do not get any different treatment at all. In fact the dealers that pay the most per year get the same warnings and infractions as everyone else. If you have explicit interest in the items you need to make that clear, your post was not.

You can report any posts you feel are not appropriate by clicking the triangle with ! under the post.




I would like to add the email you sent to the post but I won't do that unless you say it's okay.

Yes. Feel free to add that email because that is my email and only email. I remember some time back Spark (if I remember right) posted (I think) to everyone about everyone had to have a "legitimate" email. Funny, I always thought my email was legit...lol...I think it was something about free emails and people causing trouble.....something like that.

I have roadrunner. I don't use their email. I guess I would if I HAD TO for here but if anyone ever sent me something and it went there I'd never know. So having said that, if you being a mod......can fix that and update my email on your records - please feel free because if someone sends an email to the one you all have on file for me I will never see it because I don't even remember what it was.

As for the infraction or no infraction. I know what you're saying. I get it. I guess it'd be different if I hadn't see the exact same thing ( or very close) being said at times and nothing showing up to let us viewers see if there was a problem with "that poster". Heck, maybe all the times I have seen people post things they shouldn't have in threads and not receive an infraction.......maybe they just got a friendly email like myself. Who knows. I'm not going to go around and police threads and report etc. etc.

I remember mentioning in a thread once someone posted a pic of Obama visiting with Putin and I questioned something to the effect of "I wonder if Putin carries a knife".....I don't know....something like that - you can find the one I'm talking about. Then I get "infracted" because I "was being political" .....ROTFLMAO. Just crap like that. I can't be any nicer than I am without being a phoney and that isn't going to happen. I don't know. Lets end it at this. OK? You can delete this thread if you choose, no big deal to me one way or the other. Please change the mail thing for me.

I just sent you a message just as a taste test to what I was talking about. There it is. At least I said something to the affect of "if my income tax comes in I'd grab it." These guys are just saying "beautiful piece"....."exquisite" on and on and on. I didn't know that was against the rules if you are talking specifically about that knife. And I was. Matter of fact I'm ordering one (Techno) first thing Monday because it'll be here (income tax) by then. I wouldn't even think of going to see if he sold that knife or not now.

But no one in that thread of "Traveler#5" said "anything" remotely close to anything about buying the knife that is being sold. That is just one of hundreds of examples. Hope that helps.

You may want to go here first and make sure that messaging and notifications are enabled:

If it still doesn't work, then you can change back to gmail.

Just was on the phone with a couple members. I was told by one of them if you're a paying member that there is more leeway in things such as what you stated as for the reason of my "infraction."

Is this true? I'm sure "your" answer will be "of course not." But that is what I was just told by someone who has been a paying member for yearssss on BFC.

I guess what I'm saying is "be consistent".....if I get warned for letting him know that I'd love to buy what he's selling, then anyone who ever posts in a thread like his other than saying the words "I want that" or "PM coming" etc. should be "warned."

Am I allowed to notify mods "anytime" I see this happening? I mean, I know I "can" but you get what I'm getting at don't you? Look at my other "infraction".....freeking hilarious....lolol. I'm about as nice as a guy can be, but when I'm on BF as I guess I turn into a "Lawbreaker." Oh please. You don't have to respond, really you don't. Just have to let you know that I know for a fact that are different rules for different people and it sucks that it also happens on the BFC of all places.

Paying members get no special treatment. Every member is expected to read, understand and follow the same rules as any other member.
Everyone has their own interpretation of this place. Many times they are mistaken. Just because someone is a long time paid member does not mean that they actually know what is going on here. You were given a justified "warning" for "chatting" in a sales thread. In the individual sales section, it is not permitted. Discussion is permitted though in the knifemakers sales area. You other "warning" was for political commentary outside the political arena forum.
