First off, 2 doctors are now saying they don't believe the mass on the pancreas means lymphoma. We saw the head of surgery at a VERY good hospital, he doesn't want to operate, it would be easier to do a heart transplant he said, and if it is lymphoma it's treated with chemo not surgery. We will do another Petscan in Feb after the thyroid cancer treatment. That is the GOOD news.
Now for the not so good news...... more surgery ......
The tumor in the parotid lit up like a christmas tree and has now doubled in size since the last scan that was done 2 months ago.
Surgery is scheduled for 12/17.
I hope to have him home and in good shape for Christmas Eve, the one holiday that we celebrate to the hilt!!! I told him he can have ANYTHING he wants for Christmas, even if that includes ANOTHER knife
So keep those prayers coming, we've had a few bumps in the road, but we always seems to find a clear path
