Mrs. Martino,
The last 5 khukuri you have sent have been most excellent pieces worthy of anyone's collection. Your assistance helping me obtain that which was desired is appreciated. Since I can't be in Reno, I'll try to do the next best thing to show that my heart's in the right place. After spending a little time in the blacksmith shop this evening I symbolically present you with a rose for your kindness. Thank you very much.
Cheers, Bookie

I'm bawling my eyes out, this is so sweet! I haven't cried this much since I watched Old Yeller this afternoon.

Incredibly life like rose, there's obviously some sort of magic involved in producing one of those. You sir are beyond talented.

You said I was da man, I ain't da man, you da MAN!

Ohh Man that sir is a home run, what a beautiful piece. A true talent here folks.

An extraordinary masterpiece for sure, only by a master of his craft.

I'm sitting here (ok I sit everywhere) trying to wrap my mind around how he does that. I can't even get a decent start. I'm completely clueless.

I should one day have a fraction of this sort of talent. Yeah right.

Beautiful work. It would be interesting to know how the kamis would react to it. The language of the smithy transcends cultural differences.

I, too, would like to know what they think of something like the rose, Howard. There's actually not a lot to them and stems with veined leaves can be added easily. Wish I could chat with them from a professional standpoint and "talk shop."
