I know we haven't held the SUS SCROFAs yet but...

If you could only choose 1 for an EDC which one and why? I traditionally like the drop points so the SS has taken me by surprise. I like its larger choil over the smaller one on the MS. I'm so confused. And no "just buy them both" nonsense. :p I'm just curious as to pros and cons of the SS. What a great price. I hear that the blade style is also very effective for SD. The SS looks like it would be a great slasher but how would it do on thrusts? Hmmmmm. I'll have to look into this. Thanks. :)

hahaha.... I wouldn't want either of them being thrusted at me. The MS has a clip point (older ones Spear/Drop Point) that are centered with the blade so they would feel more natural while thrusting. The SS would be a better slasher but can also be used to thrust. Selection would really depend on your style and how you are trained. I would chose neither as a SD knife because I prefer point up edge-in or point down edge-in (pikal). But for general utility I would chose the SS over the MS. I just prefer Wharnie type blades for general use because of the thin fine point. This makes it easier for detail cutting with the tip and makes for a great box cutter. Since the SS is a Wharnie/Hawkbill hybrid it would make for a very aggressive slasher and slicer as well.

I never leave home without my MrS. 'Bout says it all. It is THE perfect EDC blade.

Thanks Hammie for putting me onto this super blade.
