MS prototype?????

I don't know a lot about MS's, but as a general rule I thought the lack of a forward hole meant it was an apprentice knife

I agree with Dark Hog. Did I just say that? ;)

No Talon Hole = Apprentice knife

Hey IDSkunk - you MS Hog, you - what say ye?

I have always been under the impression that front talons were ground off on apprentice blades.

The lack of drilled talons front and back, would lead me to believe this is a proto.

How thick is this pup? With the tubed scales, this could be a LMS proto.

MHO

huh?

yup looks like an apprentice blade to me

or a factory second

or jerry drunk at the grinder again...... :barf:

nice score

This is true, ground off=apprentice. Not drilled=proto. I have both, but without going to the safe, the proto (and the apprentice) both have the rear talon hole. Bad Mojo has nice shots of each. Could be a LMS, looks like mine. What's the thickness?
