Ron is unable to get into BF for some reason he can't figure out. He asked me to copy/paste the following message he posted earlier on KN:


The good part I think should be first .
I want two thank all that have ordered some products from me in the past few years and I am hoping that they are still serving you well ,and that I might be of more service to you all we sure have enjoyed building them for you and each customer I believe have become a good friend so in some way was building friendships that went way past what I expected thanks for that .
I also want to thank you guys that stuck with me when I got behind , BAD health and trying to Handel that while keeping a income coming in even when things looked its darkest some of you lifted me up and gave me hope even though you might have not known it to me that was the wind in my sail . I have all my life thought that a mans word was all he is ,at times I felt that was shaky for me at best , it had gotten to where I could not work but 2 to 3 hours a day in my shop and had gotten way behind ,you guys stuck with me when I know if you had not I could not blame you .
the good news is I have gotten a big part my health back and so far enjoying better health im hoping that this will hold up for a few more years.
I have been working 12 hours a day and feeling great looking to thing that I want to get done might happen .
having gotten behind in work and the income needed to make thing run smooth in the shop I need to cut back on expensive I have decided to discontinue some things for a few mounts to help catch up on bills and the coming expense of running the house and shop I be off line for a few mounts and I also will be having one phone it’s the mobile phone so im hoping you that need me or my services will call me on it
im have presses to build up till feb. if you need my services feel free to call or just call to say hi
thats the bad news I will miss reading all the post that I have gotten in the habit of seeing each day after work.
just thought it best to let you know im still here just not on line you guys are the greatest

I will really miss this but its time to do what I have to get the shop back to full working days and bringing in the founds to keep it going see you guys in a few mounts .

Thanks, Mike. I am the one with that February press order in, and my heart sank when I thought Bowie might be in a bad situation. I am happy to hear he is well and busy, and will give him a call soon.

He seems to be doing much better, John. He sounds better and happier than I have heard him in over two years. He even passed his JS performance test this past week.

Give him a call. I think he likes to feel that phone buzz in his pocket.... ;)
 
Fitz I think you are right. Ron likes the vibrator in that phone so he keeps it in his britches pocket. I heard rumors once he had two of them and set them up so they continually dialed each other. I think those were the days he had that big goofy grin on his face come to think of it! I'll make his day and give him a tingle - err, uh a jingle I meant.

He's probably just sitting back and hoping everyone calls, Bill! When you keep the phone in yer pocket plugged into the charger, something's going on.... ;)

Poor guy can't even read us picking on him...LOL:D
 
It is great to see that Mr. Claiborne is doing well. He is one of those that is very giving of his knowledge and a heck of a knifemaker.
