MSI Mini

Anyone else looking forward to the mini version of the MSI?
Waiting to see what option these end up being released in as well as price point.

I’ve been looking at the Stitch and MSI, not sure which one I’ll go with yet. I want the full size and not the mini though.

I’ve handled a stitch and wasn’t too impressed, mainly because that huge choil gobbles up a bunch of prime blade real estate. The ergos are kinda funky to my hand too.

I’ve had two MSIs. I wound up selling one and giving the other to my son when he took a shine to it. He’s put aftermarket maroon micarta scales on it, and it’s FAR from a safe queen.



It’s pretty much his favorite folder now. I’d say handle the stitch first, if you can, but I bet the MSI would be right up your alley.

I like the MSI except the bearings. If the mini is compatible with some skiffs thick washers (unlike the full size) I'd consider one.

Yeah, I noticed the big ol choil on the Stitch and was wondering that would feel. The MSI looks to be a more neutral type grip. That’s a great looking MSI your boy has!

Nope. Which is why saying they ripped off the Hawk design is premature. They have defended in depth their design being different.

Anyone with a pair of eyes and an objective brain can see that Microtech at the very least borrowed heavily from G&G’s design concepts. The other end of that spectrum is the statement that they blatantly ripped them off. Pretty cut and dry if you watch a couple disassembly videos.

They did blatantly rip off Mikov, and others. I like Microtech’s knives, but some of their decisions are factually unethical.

Man, I need to get on the stick and pick up an MSI. I fondled plenty of 'em at BLADE the last couple years, but the money always went elsewhere at the show.
