Interested in the MT kestrel and was wondering if anyone in here can give me some feedback on the knife....

I don't have one, but I just sold a vector, which, I believe, is the same except for the blade shape. I really liked the vector, but got rid of it just to slim down my collection.
As for the vector its self, it was a really good knife. The blade was as thick as my large skirmish. The lock was very sold, with no play, and I felt totally confident in it. The knife also looked cool, but the kestrel would be easier to sharpen up. They are knives on the smaller size, but for a small knife, they are hard to beat.

Thanks, Siggyhk.
I have the vector and it is small, but solid. I wish I could get my hands on the HAWK (MT) but I live in Ca and its an auto :(...

I have one. Has to be the highest quality folder I own. It's kinda on the smallish side. If you are looking for a folder that fills your hand, this aint it. The lock is first rate.Locks up like a mosler bank vault. There is no possible way for the lock bar to over travel and jam too tight. There is a stop for the lock bar milled into the blade. The style of the blade (hawkbill) makes it's usefullness limited. The blade is 154 cm and when I bought mine it was sharp as the devil himself. Holds an edge great. Definetly the Cadillac of hawkbill folders.

great knife a little on the small side for me though, all MTs are pretty good albeit expensive imho.

I have one of the original prototypes since I was lucky enough to name the (then) unnamed prototype during a visit with Tony Marfione some years ago.

Great little knife.
