At badassknives, there's a MT MOD-10. Is this the same thing as the MT-8541 that is at TAD??

Thanks!

Jeff

im not positive, but the two pics look a little different. the one at TAD looks a little more dagger like to me. Ill find out this week though, cause i ordered the MT MOD 10 from badassknives:D

Do you think that it would be possible to get a MT-8541 with a flat grind? It might mess up the "daggerness" of the blade geometry, though.

Good question. Badass knives should not be selliung them nor should TAD. Both advertise them but I'm pretty sure they don't have any. And if they do they didn't buy them from Strider.

The MT MOD 10 and the MT 8541 knives are the same. The MT MOD 10's I have are not stamped 8541 nor do I advertise they are. Both knives are the same one is stamped with 8541 one is not. I have not seen the ones on TAD site but the ones I had do not say 8541 on them. If you want a 8541 MT go to Marine Scount Sniper school and grad top of the class!!!

the ones featured on TAD are the same as "8541's". this is the model name and description given to us by Mick when he handed to them to Josh last weekend.

these are hollow ground as they are older inventory before the latest gen of flat grinds.

hmm, ok, what the hell, if badassknives doesnt have any MT MOD 10s then what the hell is Mike sending me on monday? a box with a bunch of newspaper inside??
from what i know(or thought i know maybe) you can have any of the larger field knives made into modified 10" versions. TAD had a WB MOD 10 a couple months ago.

The "8541 USMC" MT's are for Marine Scout Snipers only. I haven't checked BadAss Knives web site, but you said they were selling the 8541. It was my fault for not checking myself. Mike said he is not selling the 8541 stamped model then he's not. You can get the same knife without the stamp like Mike said.
Your right about the TAD web site I looked at it and it says MT 8541. Not sure why he has that. Maybe he worked something out with Strider and has a way to verify who he sells them to.

What Mick said was that this is the same model that is issued to the USMC 8541 program instructors choice graduate.
We would not sell an 8541 knife.
Unless of course you were an 8541.

The 8541 knives are stamped:

USMC
8541

Hi Mick. I'm bummed you wont be in NV, but I'm happy for you why you won't be there. Keep me posted. I'm trying to make Atlanta so I can see you again. Been two years now. Oh by the way will you e-mail me your home address or an address where you can recieve packages.
