I finally took possession of the subject knife and have mixed feelings. Fit and finish are every bit as good as you'd expect from MT. Rubber inserts in the handle give it a good grip. The button to open it though is flush with a raised area on the left side so you have make sure you get good purchase on it and push straight down with what I subjectively consider too much pressure/force. Of course this is probably good common sense safety also.
The knife opens with good authority and lock up. Never a doubt as to whether its open, locked, and ready to use. The blade is what I would call a modified tanto, with the angle leading to the point shallower making the point longer than your average tanto. The edge is clean and very sharp. I'm less thrilled about the shape of the handle though as it tapers down to a narrow angle at the back (where the point would be when closed). To me this makes it feel less than solid in my hand. When folded again the clip is situated so the knife carries tip down and I've always preferred tip up. This leads to my last observation and a pet peeve I have with several knives, and that is that tip down carry means that the braided fob is buried at the bottom of your pocket when carrying the knife. To me the purpose of a fob is to facilitate drawing the knife from the pocket and its useless if its at the bottom.
