I am goin to purchase a microtech socom elite auto. Could someone please help me out on which to purchase... I would like to know the differences between the stone wash and bead blast please and which you prefer.. Any info would be highly appriciated Thanks!!

I prefer the stonewashed finish over the beadblast. It does not show scratches and slight blemishes as easily. can't comment on the black microtech coating, never had a knife with it.

Hi Clown- I've got MT's with all the finishes and I would say to just avoid the bead blast. I've had some problems with rust, or what I believe to be rust anyway.
I would definitely go for the stonewash or the black. I like the way the black coating on the MT's look.
If it's going to be a daily user/carry go for the stonewash !!!
I've been carrying a stonewash LCC D/A for a long time now and it's been really nice, the blade is still perfect !!!

I would also go for the stonewashed finish. It is much less susceptable to rust and will not show tiny, little "micro-scratches" as much as some other finishes.

I would go for the stonewash as well. Avoid bead blast like a cheap Pakistani auto:p ! The black finish is very good, but marks with ease. If its a user, I would go for the black finish if you don't care about all those marks showing as the black finish provides superiour rust protection even when rubbed away. However ig like most of us you like a knife to look like 'new' as long as possible, get the stonewash it hides the marks like nothing else.
