We just did this hike over the weekend in preparation of our Grand Canyon down and up in one day hike coming up in 2 weeks. This is Mt Wilson in Los Angeles elevation gain/loss of 6,800 ft. and it was about 55F. I nice day for hiking with tons of water sources since CA has been getting so much rain. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Nice photos, as always, but the mere subject of this post made me say "Hell No!"

It's not so bad just took a long time. My friend was bitching the whole time and it was his idea to do it. He felt like crap the next day (Easter) and I didn't have the heart to tell him that I didn't feel anything. I don't really ever get sore or tired from hiking, they call me the goat.

Love that path on the mountainridge.
Look like you enjoyed yourself :)

Thanx for sharing great pics!

Nice, looks like you did the trail not the toll road. How far up did you have to go to get out of the burn area?

Hey man, that was a secret for limited distribution. Don't go letting all the water sources out there, that was my emergency source. ;)

The baldwin avenue entrance to the foothills is a few miles behind where i live in San Gabriel. My son and I enjoy that hike every now and then.
