Jaislandboy---Gotta say---I like the M-Type a tad better! Thanks for the comp.

hi Lycosa, thanks for looking :)
I believe the Tenacious is 4oz and the MType is listed at 4.6 oz.
Viewing both knives Closed, guestimating w/the naked eye,
the MType is about 2mm thinner than the Tenacious....the dual G10 slabs and steel liners of the Tenacious makes it a little "bulkier"; the handle of the MType is about 5-6 mm longer than the Tenacious.
Both have phosphor-bronze washers at the pivot; both have solid lockups....
I give the Tenacious the edge on ease of opening w/ the Spyderhole vs. the Thumbstud ;)
Both knives have great ergos and represent excellent values.... I don't know if I can say i love one over the other.... depends on the lunar phase :)

J-Boy---The duel steel liner design is not for me at all. I' rather go with a frame-lock knife or a P-Military design with thick G-10 and a nested steel interior and lock.

one man's trash is another man's treasure ;)
I tend to prefer framelocks myself :)

Hi Brian, thanks for the pics. Great looking as usual. :)
Hard to tell which one I like best, Chad's or the Spydie. Both are good knives.

Mahalo jaislandboy!

Thanks for the comparisons...I been curious about the Tenacious for sometime now. I *think* I might have one incoming, although I am not sure yet.:o

Not to insult the Tenacious, but that bugger looks like something I did a few years back, only mine had micarta and a front and rear SS Bolster...;)

God bless ya Knifebrothers!!!

hey Daywalker, the linerlock on the Tenacious is pretty beefy and locks up real solid and inspires confidence....i thought it would be cool to show how the thickness of the framelock on the M-Type makes the Tenacious' look "skinny" ;) :p Awesome design this MType, love the grippy channels cut into the G-10 slab and the "bankvault" lockup :thumbup:
