So I don't know if I'm in the majority or minority, but I've found I absolutely love the feel and pocket presence of the 312. I'm not a trapper...though I am a hunter.....but I find the 312 to be a great all-round companion. I'm currently on the road, but plan to update the post at a later time with my meager collection of the 312.....please feel free to add any pictures you might have.....would love the inspiration!!

*Virginia Game Warden Limited Edition(Brown Bone)
*2 ABCA Limited/Numbered Editions(Blue Bone)
*Black delrin
*Brown Bone
*Numbers Matching Ebony 312(her bigger 314 brother not pictured)
*David Yellowhorse Custom

I didn't have any 312 pictures readily at hand but here are some 314 pictures to get things rolling.

Does anyone know for certain what the handle wood is for the 1993 PRCA 312?

Thanks guys...I've got two of the ABCA serialized versions, a black delrin version, a jigged bone(can't recall year) and a special 92 version from Virginia. Must admit, I'd love the Silver Buck version and that custom mammoth is beautiful.....thanks!!

312/314 1990 (X) Brown jigged bone Trappers. BOS 420HC, flat ground. Discontinued. One of the first 'new' model knives made in the Buck factory. Each blade has it's own spring.
Notice the really small nail nic on the 312, don't think I like them that small. 300

I got the tin box, but the silver dollar was long gone.

Here is a almost 312. BUCK via(SMKWs) 382 Trapper. Made overseas. Made for SMKWs, this one with a bass and Bill Dances name on the blade. There are at least three versions, one of them is blue, SMKWs used them in a contest. Sort of like lottery tickets, you order one and if it comes with a gold fish on the scale you win all sorts of prizes. Ok trapper for the money but not a 312. Let me point out here, did you notice none of the 312s or clones have slanted bolsters....

I really like that Silver Buck. .is the emblem silver also? That is a $1.00 face value American silver Eagle containing 1 troy oz (.999) pure silver and at the time of issue I think silver was trading 5 to 6 a oz. The premium for Eagles was $1.50 over spot but now runs about $2.75 . Not to long ago that same coin would have sold for close to $50.00...That is now on my list to get 300 thanks for sharing it!

Was finally able to get some pictures to add to the original post. Photobucket wouldn't cooperate, so I gave the smaller/condensed version.

Cheers...
