Did some chopping today in the woods, the MR performed great. Unfortunatly I had no camera with me.

When I got home I decided to take the coating off of the MR.

To make up for the lack of chopping pics I took these........

Looks great... did you do anything other that strip it? Sandblast? Last few that I've took the Stripper to have been really dark untill I broke out a few scotchbrite pads... Don't have any pics... they are both with leatherman getting a DC Finish

DAM!!!

This makes me wonder if I should have traded mine away. It looks great.

I stripped the coating and spent about an hour rubbing the blade with a cloth and some cheap polishing paste. I don't know yet if I will mirror-polish this one. It's a user after all.

Nice job mate, mine has some very patchy coating, so I may do this to mine oneday. What size sheath is that??

It's the "large" (7.5 inch) model SpecOps combat master sheath (tan color).
It's perfect for the HellRazor or Mud Razor if you want a sheath of Cordura fabric!

Nice pictures..... the knife is looking good.

Now go beat on it some more. :D

Oh yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about. Did something similar with my HR, didn't turn out as nice though. All those dang ridges/grooves! Going to do a DC on it here shortly...has anyone else removed the coating on a HR, brothers the finish on mine was sooooo rough! I'm thinking Jerry may have worn out the grinders on his CNC doing the AKs! ;) :D

Oh well it's going to be an user so no real worries! The muddy one looks very cool bro. Nice job!

Does anyone know if the Mud Razors started out life as Hell Razors? From this pic, it almost looks like you can see the end of the corrugated bevels right at the plunge line. Were these just stripped of the bevels for the military or something?

Oh croikey. Now I'm thinkin I really should get that FBM in snakeskin and just strip the badboy and polish it a tad.

DANG that looks good. How does one remove the coating???

Its definatly mine. I try and use it most days, and it goes just about everywhere with me.
