Please share some pictures, ıf you have black canvas on muddy brown blade.
I couldn't see such a combination yet. Will they fit?

I don't have one, nor do I think I will in the future. Not an attractive combo IMHO. But tastes differ! Maybe someone else does.

I also just checked in our (awesome!!) new color combo vault thread, none listed there either.

Perhaps someone with a muddy brown blade and another knife with black canvas can lay one knife over another and take a pic for you? (Sorry, I don't currently own any with black canvas handle.)

I had one I stripped earlier this year but don’t have any pictures pre-stripping. I really liked the color combo-the only reason I stripped it was because I’d never stripped a knife before and wanted to give it a go. Honestly, I wish that I’d left it coated...

I do like the muddy coating myself, it’s smooth and not to thick looking :-)

This is the only one I have of it before I stripped it and my paw is covering most of the handle but maybe it will give you some idea of how it looks.

The Muddy coating just does not seem to be accurately capturable (not a real word?) in most pics. That just does not look right, Clampdaddy. Of course not your fault. 'Course, could be my monitor - who knows?! While I am at it, that "black" Micarta also above looks pretty green to me. Not uncommon I find.

Erto, I find that the Muddy is very much a "true brown," is not too dark, is pretty consistent, and contrasts very nicely with black Micarta. Initially, my "go-to" combo when ordering was Muddy with brown Micarta, which in hand is pretty tan to my eye, so it has decent contrast. But black Micarta is a better contrast, for certain.

I actually really like the muddy brown! I have a pumpkin Rucki with muddy and orange/black g-10. Love that combo.

I miss that batch of black canvas micarta. My first few had that OD green color which is by far my favorite. My last couple black canvas handles are completely different. I would say that the color tones in the picture are pretty accurate to how my knife looked when I got it.

OD, huh? I am not doubting you, just, that's strange, right?
But then, the "new" green canvas looked wheat/blonde on my HOG Badger - that is, until I sanded it down, and then she was so so green!

Maybe it's just me but to my eye the handle of my TGLB is more green than the green of the sheath that it used to ride around in.

My Ratweiler and AK are both kinda greenish too.

My BG FBM is way different. It actually looks blackish......until you degrease it and then it looks like a really thin layered tan and black.

Clampdaddy, thanks for the pics. No "proof" needed despite the "pics or it did not happen" thing. ;) BUT, those DO look rather green, no doubt. Mine are all pretty much gray to black and/or black & gray if contoured a lot. I like it a lot like that but I do like it best when it is more two-tone in contoured form. Speaking of which, the difference between the appearance of your BG FBM when oiled up and de-greased is an amazing contrast. I keep all my micarta oiled and don't ever really soap 'em up and rise. Just wipe 'em off when filthy. Might have to take a peek underneath!

It's a user... for clearing around the house... so I haven't cleaned it up for the photos, but here ya go!

Also, if you're curious about the other color combos, sixplymaple put in some fantastic effort into making a color combo vault so everyone can reference colors there!

Thanks, Imcq, those are great pics, well staged, and I like 'em better "as is" and not cleaned up! Knives and swords are for using, not for safes. Great color combo! My old favorite coating, Mud, and my new almost favorite G10, orange & black! (still can't beat green & black in G10, man. Ever notice how often the Bossman puts up The photo, or the First photo of a new release in green & black G10?;)!)

Yeah for sure! Green and black is really attractive, as is tan and black. The orange doesn't work with everything, but on the muddy brown, is meant to be! Green or tan and black, on the other hand, seem to be much more versatile.

I don't have an exemplar. In fact, to my regret, I do not yet have anything with red & blk G10. But I think that red & blk would look great with muddy brown.

Yeah I have yet to have a red/black handle either... I think the right knife has to come around for me to make one... I have some midnight blue and hammered silver on maroon handles and those are killer combos... I'm not sure how red/black would fit into my collection
I guess when there's the will, there'll always be a way.
