Muddy HRLM

Does anyone out there own a Muddy HRLM ??

I need to ask a question about mine in comparison to yours.....( the knife that is)

I own one and often edc it when not carrying a folder. Found it a little thick behind the edge (compared to the older Howling Rat, at least), so I thinned it out and lost most of the muddy coating which made it so desireable in the first place. The knife makes a weird noise when sharpening on benchstones, like the edge of a wine glass being 'played' with water. Neat, but gets old fast.

Does yours act similar?

I was just wondering if the scales on yours were thicker than a standard HRLM ?? Almost feels like a Busse Mag handel (for lack of a better term)to describe it.

I don't have a standard HRLM, sorry. They're just not muddy enough.
