Muela knives

They are probably decent knives but closer to production than custom. We had some of their knives in the shop some years ago and the quality was decent, nothing really special. Best I can say is they were average enough I didn't keep one for myself. Back them it seems they were more quasi-military knives mostly if I remember right.

The online site selling them does have some really amazing single action grips tho...

i have a muela "mirage" ,11" oal,7"blade that is 440.its easy to sharpen and gets real sharp, gets dull easily, good knife.

From what I remember seeing, they are a good quality production knife. They have some very interesting designes as well..

Absintheur, what Knife is that in your profile? who made it?

Didn't they make that Bowie-style knife Pierce Brosnan used in the movie Seraphim Falls? (Great movie until the last third, when it went into "lala land" and my wife tells me I sat there with this wtf expression on my face that whole time.)

A local outdoors store carries a bunch of Muela knives. They are reasonably priced and the ones in the display case are mostly small, traditional hunting knife patterns with natural handle materials (bone and wood). They look attractive but I have not handled one.

Several years ago I lived in Madrid and made a couple of trips to Toledo. There's a knife and sword shop about every 100 feet there. A knife lover's paradise. I bought several Muelas. I particularly like a olive wood handled skinner. I have not used most of what I bought, but they are attractive and well made.

I have a couple, the small stag FB in the pic is my main outdoors knife, it gets dull pretty fast but sharpens really easy so its good for the field.
