Just picked up this knife a couple of days ago and really liking it, though haven't had the chance to wail on it yet... :D

A Muela scorpion 18W. I probably made a thread about it years ago, but can't remember... I can't find any reviews at all. The site says it's 440 steel... A or C, I don't know.

Anyone had any experience with this knife, or the company in general? I'm happy with the purchase (got it relatively cheap down here) , but I just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks in advance guys,

-Samuel.

I have their Military knife, but haven't really played with it yet. I like the steel, feels strong and takes a good edge. The handle is a hard handle, and I'm not sure that it would be as grippy as some sort of rubber handle. Of course the Scorpion has a rubber handle, although I did hear it may get a bit sticky after a while. In other words, I don't know much!

Thanks Luiz. Are all their knives made in 440C? Thanks for the heads up Acolyte, haven't sharpened it yet (should though, its not popping hair. ;) )

My Dad bought this Muela Arocho back in '89, it's got high carbon steel (Acero Al Carbono) with a 8 and 3/4" blade. Has really nice balance.
