Anyone have an opinion on these blades? they seem hard to find, lack of distributors or junk? G.

They're pretty and have nice leather sheaths. The steel is very poorly heat treated. It dulls extremely easy !

I've looked at buying one of their pig stickers which have a good following in Australia but have no first hand experience.

Some of their big dagger style blades appear appealing and one day if I get get one at a good price I am prepared to give them a try out.

We carry very few of them in our store here in Missouri.. The price of them is just too high to carry a large amount, when we barely sell the ones we have. There just aren't enough people that actually care about quality when they could spend $5-10 on a "cool-looking" china folder. Not really saying that they're quality either, I'm not even sure what kind of steel they're made with, I just know they're better than anything else we have.

Muela I believe is made in Spain.
Nice looks, but a bit lacking in the steel it uses.
I bought a "nice" hunting design (on holiday in that country a few years back after a large Liquid? lunch) it blunts on anything and I mean ANYTHING.
It was worth the price for the Sheath?
So I told myself,after I tried it,when I came back.

My Dad bought this one in 1989 for 75 dollars. It's got high carbon steel not their stainless that so many complain about. It came dull and had to be sharpened. The blade is 8 and 3/4". Has nice balance and a full pinned tang.

If you are still interested after reading the opinions, there is a reliable seller on E-Bay that has alot of Muela's. Just do a search, you'll find him.
