Thank you for looking.

Thank you kindly.

I've been using the same coffee mug, I'm giving away my age here, for almost 30 years but it is developing a widening crack from stem to stern. I don't usually go in for accessories but this one is similar to my old non-buck mug. Coffee, the affordable luxury. Buck, stimulating.

My terrific sister gave me the knife a few years ago, what a sister I have, when she asked about a Buck knife for her husband. She got him a custom and while she was at it so did I. I look at this knife and I see her in my mind's eye. These fantastic objects that Buck hammers out can be like memory storage units that we cherish for a number of reasons.

Nice.and when it needs a touch up,strop the blade across the bottom of that mug, works like a charm.LOL

This is me typing this wearing a big grin. :D (That blade hasn't seen any use yet but man-o-man is it ever sharp baby sharp).

You have 1/2 a beer coming for that sharpening tip.

Have a piece of flipper pie for me will you. ;)

Very, very nice !!

Thank you for the kind words.

You must be a coffee drinker as well. :D

I am alternating hot and cold on the bolster engraving. It is well-done for sure. I have never engraved anything myself. However, if I had to remember when I received that gift the only certain way to go about it would be to read that bolster!

Very nice knife and some great photos.

Thank you very much. I get such a kick from you and other contributors of content. You should be paid. You know who you are.

Confession: I was watching two Buck coffee cups at Grand Prairie for at least a year (black with white lettering and white with black lettering). When I finally made a decision to order one on a Sunday I was told that the last intact one sold the day before and there remained only a defective one. Those who hesitate...

HAHAHA . . how did you know I was referring to the mug:thumbup:

In all seriousness . . again that knife is OUTSTANDING. Love the custom 110's posted on this site. They always have me coming back here to see if any new have been posted. The mug is really sweet too honestly. Oldschool all the way:thumbup: -Gary

 Thats a beautiful 110! Excellent pics as well!

Thanks!

Thank you. You are too kind.

I've never seen a 110 that I didn't like. Really. But those Buck custom built one-at-a-time 110s reach a high standard in eye appeal. I've had the one shown above on my desk all day and I'm reluctant to put it away because my eye is drawn to it and I like what I see. The finger grooves give the handle more facets, like a diamond, to reflect light and attract my attention.

That's really a beauty and your pictures are great as always.

Thank you kindly.

You set the bar high and it shows in your content here. You propel everyone viewing to try and work similar magic. Well done. Delightful.

Is it just me or does BG-42 look and feel like no other steel. The custom shop has a wicked edge on this blade. Were I to leave it open, edge up, falling dust particles would be cut as they hit the blade I think. The blade stamping is symmetrical, well-defined and readable.

Oh snap. This isn't a coffee forum... My bad.

I am a newby here. I did not do business with the old, choices upon choices, custom shop. I also don't know how Buck was able to pick up and resume any custom business after the move to Idaho. I hope that the custom shop continues. It is a dream spinner to me and others.

Nice cup & 110 . Do you know the age of your Buck mug ? DM

Sorry I don't know its age. I hope someone more informed will speak up. It is near perfect and appears and smells unused. The figure is stylized but, due to the skull cap and apron, I like to think that it is Hoyt's likeness looking comfortable at the anvil. I am certain, however, that everyone should have one of these in order to toast the founder who has brought something wonder this way.

Build one here online at the Buck company store: http://www.buckknives.com/

Note, however, that if you do have a custom Buck made by Buck then you are obligated to post pics for your friends here ASAP. Yes, it is required. Ask anyone. :)

Outstanding. I will do just that! Something I notice though, the blade type you show here isn't offered. It's only 420HC or s30v. while I'm a big fan of the S30V steel it makes me wonder if there are more choices than just what's on the knife builder? Any idea or do I just need to contact them?
