After scouring the 1000's of Muk pages via the search function  (ok so there are only actually 18,759 replies on 944 pages), give or take,,,but who's counting :D:D,,

I have yet to see an "in hand" photo of the Anorexic Hog Muk? :(:(,,
Any help,,, anyone,,, Bossman,,Amy,,, could you all help a brother out :D:D (please insert image of me on knees begging here)

In hand Hog Muk pic plzz :thumbup:

I think it has very similar specs to the Scrapyard MUK so if you look at that in hand, it would be close.

I'm not sure if any of the Muk's (large or mini) ever made it out into the wild. However the Mini-Muk has the same handle as an Active Duty. That should be an excellent point of reference. (You will just need to imagine a MUCH larger belly on the blade).....

In two weeks you can send us all a photo of yourself holding one of your Muks! :D

Offer accepted, but that means I have to get bumped to the front of the line! :D :p

Comparing the same handle materials I am inclined to think that the Muk is going feel a little bit like a better balanced SAR 5 and slightly more useful as a result. They both have similar overall dimensions and shape, even a similar handle with the same machining but with a lot less junk in the trunk for the Muk. So I think the Muk will feel just right due to the much lighter handle.

Don't get me wrong though, visually I find the SAR 5 blade shape more appealing and it is a great knife too so that may be the closest thing there will ever be to a CG Muk of this size. ;) I may even mod my SAR 5 handle to be a clone of the Muk if it feels like I think it will.

Now you're talking... I'll take it! :D er... wrong forum, I mean, you'll love em! :p

My SAR 5 is a pumpkin so I won't change the handles out, but that does sound like a really sweet idea you have there! ;)

Yup. I've said this before. SAR5 and Mukness Monster just do it for me with that handle. Similar, yet different. But that recessed talon hole has got it GOIN ON! Much better than trying to sharpen a choil-less knife.

I would like to see a in hand photo as well and hear some feedback on the Scrapyard Muk and how it performs as a skinner and overall camp, kitchen knife. I want a Muk, have wanted it from the first pic of it, but my darn washing machine is on the crapper and may have to be replaced so it came at the worst time for me. Still, I can't get the Muk off my mind, and feel I will regret not getting one.

here is a short review w/o pics. the scrapmuk is such a great blade and the specs so similar that it is hard for me to justify the Busse Muk at 3x the price. I'm partial to the weight/feel of res-c over the slabs, but I like what looks to be a more "pointier" point of the Busse. tough call

Roytogo1,
Thanks for the review. Skinning, butchering, slicing is what I do most with my knives. I can't imagine the Hog MuK not being able to do well with the thin blade and convex edge.

Hey everybody - look at that post!!!! LOL

Actually, I'm just topping this to see if we can get some more HogMuk pix.

Thanks Dennis,,,, I am still hoping the BossMan will grab that Pumpkin Muk in one hand,,,take a pic with the other hand and post it to give us something to drool over while we wait :D:D
