So which one are you likely to get if you can only get one. I am leaning towards the mini right now. hopefully these are affordable or hog deals:D

Based on the feedback from the previous thread, I put this proto together . . . It is .125" thick with an incredibly thin edge and full height grind. . .

Blade Length: 3 3/4"
Overall Length: 8 1/8"
Blade Width: 1 5/16"
Blade Thickness: 1/8" . . . (.125")

So tell me HOGs. . . What do you think of the new "Mini Muk".

Jerry :D

Here are some preliminary specs. . . (These might change. . . )

Blade Length: . . . . . 4 1/2"

Overall Length: . . . . 9 1/2"

Blade Thickness: . . . Approx. 3/16"

Handle: . . . The new "DCH" (Day Camper/Hunter) with Flying "V" pattern.

Here's one with a Black G-10 Handle making it easier to see the "Flying V" handle pattern. . .

Stay tuned!

Neither - the Nessmuk style designs just aren't for me, I'm afraid. But then, that leaves more money for the other stuff. FFBMs, here I come! :D

yup, it is a design you either like or not. Kinda like the E-handles.

Definitely the Mini. Possibly the Biggie. Gotta say though that I'm somewhat dissapointed with the new handles on the Big Muk. I do think they are a much better match size-wise for the bigger blade, but the V-pattern doesn't thrill me. If I did get one I think I would probably put some new slabs on it. That also goes for the Mini depending on how it feels in the hand as well. I do love the blade design though. Can't wait to see this one for real.

I like it a lot. Great for camp or kitchen.

Might even throw well too:D:D

I'm going to get several BussMuks. I am thrilled with the handle Jerry came up with. It looks comfortable and leaves little question as to whether it's a Busse or not. I had asked for this in the bushcraft and Muk threads and had doubts that something like this would come along anytime soon. How could I have doubted the Boss? ;)

I do like the Mini-Muk a lot and may get one of them as well.

I'll get the Muk. Can't wait to try the new handle.:D The AD handle asn on the Mini Muk was not my favorite.

I'll buy both, but I'm liking the larger one better from the pics --- JErry changing the guard/choil/talon hole made it look VERY comfortable.

But we'll see how it feels when it gets here...

Well if I could only pick one....I'd have to go with the Mini....wait no....the Hog, no maybe too thick....yeah the Mini, no it might be to short...ok yeah the Hog.....I think???:p

I finally figured out what bothers me about the HogMuk. Besides the lack of the hump at the top of the ricasso, the swedge looks more like a clip to me. Maybe it is just me, but I am clippointphobic.:o
The MM has all the right curvature for this model as far as my $.02 goes.;)

Probably one of each, but definitely the Mini.

The thinner INFI means I might be able to afford the Mini. Plus I am partial to amazing slicers!!!!
