Is this Muk'd Up? I was blessed with two Muks, from the moment I got them I started dreaming of modifying one of them. I ground the spine on the OD green. Using a route 44 cup of water to dip the blade in as I was grinding. I only ground in three to four second intervals. It took about two hours of grinding a little, then taking a break, then checking and thinking about how far I wanted to take it. There was a lot of slag in the cup when I finished. Not wanting to waste this precious commodity I drank the water. The next day I cancelled my order of Viagra. The feel of the knife has totally changed. I think I may have created the ultimate skinning blade. Do you think I've Muk'd Up?

I'm sorry for the double post, and for my lack of ability on a computer. I'm a very low tech guy who loves busse knives, their function, design, and quality. I have so enjoyed the time I have spent reading and trading on the forums. I thought some of you might like this blade, I really like it myself. Thanks for tolorating me. And for those who got some pleasure from my mistakes, your welcome and "may a contaminated YAK sit on your MUK!" Thank You STJONES

Very cool. I still like the original design of the muk, but like yours a lot too. I love seeing people's mod work. Makes me wish I knew a thing about grinding a piece of steel and had the equipment.

Looks like a Muk Bowie:D:thumbup: Nessie Bowie

Reminds me of a Schrade Sharpfinger

Cool mod  :D

M67 caught me, subconciously I've made an old school classic into a super-infi super skinner, what a feat for the cost of one 3x15x120 grit belt!

WooHoo!!! Does that mean I win the knife? ;) :D

Good on you for havin' enough sack to make it into what you want. Nothing is quite like taking something you like and making it something you love.

What purpose does the hump serve in the original design? Overall I like your mod, but as a skinning knife it may be too pointy when working inside of an animal.
