Mule at work - jaggery job

I recently purchased a CTS-XHP Mule, and was eager to try it out. There are many tests done on the edge retention, and such stuff -- I was more interested in checking how it fares on cutting sticky stuff that melts with heat. Jaggery (concentrated blob of cane juice) typically needs to be chopped down to fine granules for use in food. This job is generally done with a kitchen knife, but then you run a risk of breaking the blade. Jaggery is extremely sticky, and melts with heat - so when you start cutting, lot of it sticks to the edge, and makes it even more difficult for further cuts. All high-carbon knives fail miserably, since they heat up more (ESEE series comes to mind).

Okay, so I wanted to test how good is the Mule at cutting jaggery, and the grip on the blank (and hot spots). The cutting job was fine, not much mess sticking around, which was expected. However, I was surprised at how well the handle shape made it easy for the cuts, including the thumb ramp - no hot spots after I went through a pound of blob. Anyways, here are a few photos of the job and I look forward to cord wrapping my Mule, and the next one that is soon to be released. Thanks Spyderco.
