For those of that have never heard of them Muller Forge is a father/son knifemaking combo that produces some beautiful damascus and knives. Jody (the son) does the hand-engraving and this one is called "bulino." Hopefully they will pipe in with more details -- ;)

Not sure what the server is doing, but if it shows up a red "X" just hit refresh and the pic will show.

The detail is right on !

I think that engraving pins, screws, pivots, etc. adds a great deal to the piece.

Beautiful work ! :)

I went to engraving school with Jody Muller. He and I hit it off pretty quick. He is a humble and talented maker and engraver. He is inovative and always seems to have fresh ideas.

He has done quite a bit of jewelry work as well.

This is the first bulino engraving I have him produce, and it is very nice.

Thanks for the good comments.... (I'll try to catch up with you to pay you in Arkansas).A little encouragement goes a long way with us. Sorry for the quality of the photo. No time to take more before delivery of the knife.
This Cape Buffalo is my first Bulino Engraving on a knife. This knife was a custom order and is Mammoth ivory scales on a herringbone pattern Damascus, made from 1095 and L6. It is about 9" overall and has a very slim profile.
I just took the bait and let Gateway clutter up my desk with a computer(I've been using the folks), so may have some time to "discuss" with you fellas after I learn to use it. Thanks again.

Jody

I like the engraving on this knife. It is not over done and I like that. The quality is excellent.

By the way, Muller Forge are the makers of a fantastic sub-hilt fighter that I have seen in the last couple of issues of the Knives annual. It is such a sleek and sexy design that I immediately feel in love.
