Hey guys, here's an interesting question for ya. I read in another thread someone mention how they new someone who carried nothing but a simple, $5 slip-joint set of pliers, and pretty much did EVERYTHING with it. He made it work for whatever he needed done at the time. Does anyone else have a story from a father, grandfather, uncle, neighbor, etc., that carried just ONE tool, and used it for everything? Made it work by improvising and using his noggin?

I know a lot of older guys who have always just carried a pocket knife. They do everything that they do with it. They just can't do as much! ;-)

Some day I should make a list of all the bizarre things I've done with my leatherman.

My dad was a real do-it-yourself guy, built his own boat, built a boat motor from spare parts, put an addition on the house, and numerous other projects. The only thing he ever carried was a KutMaster electricians knife. That knife saw serious action as I grew up and I was lucky to get it, when he passed away:)
