So I have my perfect multi tool(leatherman charge tti) and my perfect folder(benchmade 710 m390)

What I am missing is a nice fixed blade.

help me find mine

I want something similar as m390 but made for fixed blade, i would prefer stainless but i would accept carbon if I think the knife look good :o

price range would be between 150 and 300. (could go higher but it have to be a must have ;))

blade length, I would say 10 or less inch. I never had a fixed blade before so I cannot tell what kind of size i like.

for no stainless, I saw a few busse with infi that look good and i saw the zt100 with the cpm3v.

what else is out there in the same category and what about stainless?

For Busse or ZT100 money you could get a nice custom to your specs in the knife makers forum, for an all-around fixed blades I like a 4-5.5 inch blade blade. If you want more of a chopper then 9-12".
I just got a very nice Kephart style 4.5" blade in CPM-10V with black and toxic green G10 with a nice leather sheath for $180.

(My Eric Poris is on the bottom of the 3 knife picture)

Look at offerings from AA Forge/Backwoods Custom/Ben R.T./Big Chris/Eric Poris/ J. Oeser/Jonny Mac...they are all members here and I can vouch for the fantastic knives they all make. ( I own one from almost all of them already) They all make a knife in your price range and with your desires...you may have to narrow your choices down or you'll end up like me...@ least one from all of them...Good Luck...:D:thumbup:

hmm custom, why not? i'm going to take a look! I have a few days of browsing / looking at so many sub-forums / threads ahead of me

keep the suggestion coming, for now it's late so i'm gone

Here's the Kephart by Big Chris next to a Koster Bushmaster in CPM-3V (Koster was off the exchange for like $175 no sheath)

I'd say you have to decide what your preference is for in fixed blades.

Do you want a heavy duty chopper/prybar with sharpedges or a laserbeam slicer? Or? Do you want big or small?

I often have EDC fixed blades that are the same size as folders more or less. So thats more to consider, as well. :) Can you buy just one? I can't :D

candlepowerforums...as many zany nuts as here.. you can find ridiculous customs there in the marketplace

if you get into the high end/custom realm you should convert/invest in Li-Ion batteries (AW) and Charger (Pila)
