So, what are some two MT combos that you know of and/or can think of?

One I quite like and carry is Vic Classic(keychain) and Vic Spirit(bag/belt/pocket).

Some other,
Pioneer+Charge
Micra+Spirit S (Micra complements with it's scissors, file, eye glass screw driver and ruler. Micra in key chain and spirit in pocket)
SAK Champ plus+Skeletool (with addition of leatherman bit kit, this combo has all the avenues covered. Skeletool is lightest leatherman tool that can use bit kit, on top it has good set of pliers with OHO blade. SAK champ plus got rest covered other utility tools plus saw and scissors)

Along with my folder/fixed-blade, I keep a Vic Manager on my keychain for the little stuff, and a Blast in my bag for the big stuff. Between the two of them, there isn't anything I haven't been able to take care of :)

Classic on my keyring, Craftsman or Trekker in my pocket. I keep a Gerber Multi-Plier at home and a Leatherman Super Tool 300 in my truck. Both the Gerber and Leatherman have a supply of screwdriver bits, adapters, and 1/4 " sockets.

It's a layered thing :)

Midnight manager or Rambler
Juice S2 or Spirit (or, occasionally, Charge TTi) in pocket
Bit driver, Charge, and/or other tools in bag
Full tool set in truck :D

Kick + Tasman salt SE
Kick + Military
Kick + Paramilitary
Kick + SnG
Kick + ZT301
The only multitool I own is the Kick :P
Charge AL should be here tomorrow though :)

Victorinox Swisstool or Swisstool Spirit + Victorinox Classic - solely for the tweezers.

When doing something important, I carry a ST300 and a Vic Outrider or a Vic Fieldmaster, that is my two combinations for carry.

In my pick up I have a ST300 and a Vic Rescue tool just incase I need them.

I mostly get by with either a Leatherman Squirt S4, Leatherman Micra or one of several 58mm Victorinox SAKs. Supplemented by the Victorinox Farmer, and I have most bases covered. If pliers are needed,I would probably substitute the farmer for the Spirit. But for EDC, I find the little keychain guys are usually sufficient.

I don't leave the house without my Cybertool 34.

Combos? Currently:
LM Wave + Cybertool 34

Soon I'll try:
SwissTool X + Cybertool 34

The Cybertool 34 is good, but lacks a saw and a file, both the multi-tools above have both a saw and a file. My Wave is the older model without the bit driver, the SwissTool X doesn't come with a bit driver - but my Cybertool has a bit driver with some VERY useful bits for computer work.
So yeah, the combos I mention work well for me.

I'm EDC'ing a Vic Vagabond (although when I purchased it, it was called a Manager, with the new Rambler+pen model being called the Manager II) and the original LM Wave. This combo covers my small, medium and large tool needs very well.

I EDC a modified SOG Pocket Powerplier and a Vic Midnight Mannager. I also carry a separate folder, and between the three I have pretty much everything covered. Serious tools for tougher jobs are not far away in my car.

I have a Victorinox Midnight Manager on the keyring and a Victorinox Pioneer in my pocket. Depending on the activities that I planned, I add my Juice S2 or my Wave or Charge.

Pioneer+Charge/Wave make an awesome combo.
Pioneer provides the much needed awl and can also function as it's own multi-tool rather than a complement.

What's so important about tweezers? What sort of things do you use it for? Just curious.

I rarely use tweezers on my SAKs.

I occasionally use them for pulling splinters, maybe others use them to sort out their mono-brow - I like that I have a bunch of potentially useful tools, even if some only occasionally get used.

My combo for work days is quite similar: Vic electrician plus LM Wave.

The electrician's little sheepsfoot blade is used mostly around the office, I even allow some coworkers to use it for light cutting (under my supervision, of course); the main blade is always clean and I use it for food cutting only. On the other hand, the wave handles all the nasty and though tasks around the lab (I work with industrial electronic equipment).

For light hiking I carried a couple of times the wave and a victorinox fireman, but it seemed to much redundancy to me. Lately I only carry a vic new soldier with the main blade modified to plain edge, maybe I should add a lighter plier-based multitool just to be covered.

For non-working days I usually carry a Victorinox explorer plus a Spyderco Native, it isn't a multitool combo but it's a combo anyway.

Saludos.

my EDC combo is an Alox Soldier in my right pocket and alox Rambler clipped to a Fenix E0-1 in my left pocket. When I'm at work, hiking or out on my bike I keep my Spirit and Surefire L1 in my bag (plus a cycling specific multi tool when biking).

For light hiking I carry a Leatherman Juice S2 with me, mainly for having pliers and scissors. It's small and light enough to carry in the pocket.
