OK I am in the market for a new multi. How many of us would be VERY excited if leatherman had a build your own Tool deal. I would very happily pay extra money for it. THe gerber idea is a good start but even that one falls short of my ultimate dream. FIrst thing is you can only pick from tool groups so you are still limited. How about just here are the tools and you can pick 7 for one side and 7 for the other. You know what I mean. Second I like leatherman. I had the original tool and the super. I like the victronix anti clump and the MUCH easier locking and the look but I dont like their approuch to multiple use blades. Like the can opener that doubles as a screw driver. THe tools on the leatherman work and work well. The pliers are near indistructable.

Oh I bseach you muti tool gods to have leatherman hear us.

well i have to add my e-mail address on the BF; cause then i will be able to post my Wave for sale. i got two from that Mercata deal-cheap and easy. one for me to play with and the second one hasn't even been opened! so if you want one NIB let me know and keep an eye out over on the "for sale" forum. that having been said (and i hope i didn't anger the gods of etiquette-i didn't mean to make that sound like a sales pitch, just a heads-up cause i never posted over there yet!)- this is the first time i handled one of the newer Waves. i love it. access to blades with a liner lock on them without even opening the tool. and man it has some tight tolerances! i'm just waiting for them to make a clip on sheath, not just the leather belt sheath that comes with them. if not, then i'll just call out-------HEY, CHIROOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
