Multi-tool for Fishing

I'm looking for a multi-tool that would be good for fishing. I've owned a Leatherman Supertool (the original) for quite some time, but it is very rusty and I'm in need for a replacement. The main criteria I'm looking for is durable, yet precise pliers. Rust resistance, reasonable weight, a carry case, and scissors for cutting line would also be a plus. I'm not too worried about the knife-function as my Spyderco salt 1 serves that role.

I was looking at the Leatherman rebar but was upset about the lack of scissors. All recommendations are greatly appreciated as the dolphin are going to be arriving in my parts in a couple of weeks :).

Dolphin? You're going to catch Flipper?

I would get one of the Swiss Tool models. There are several to choose from. Rust resistant stainless steel, but it would still be good to rinse it off after exposure to salt water.

Leatherman tti looks nice, a little pricey though. I was looking at the Swisstool and it looked pretty awesome

Just some new info....

I looked at the Swisstool line. The normal swisstool was a little bit too big for me, and I was upset about the lack of ruler and velcro case on the swisstool spirit x. I'm now leaning towards the Leatherman Rebar (or maybe a blast).

The Rebar is excellent! I really love mine but here are some thoughts if you are thinking of fishing with it. First, I would take some nail clippers to handle cutting the line. Second, The sheath that comes with will not accept the tool in the open position so I would buy an additional sheath that can handle it (should cost under $10.00). Finally, it is stainless but I would make sure to dry it off before putting it away. Good luck with the fish!!!

BTW the cutters on the Rebar are really nice and will cut your line nicely if you don't want to carry the nail clippers
