I have a leatherman Wave, Juicepro, supertool, micra, and two older versions of the Gerber multi-plier. I have been thinking of checking out the swisstool series specifically the CS. How would you compare the swisstool line to the leatherman or the gerber? Is there a better tool out there that I am missing? What do you carry and why? If I have missed a thread like this somewhere please point it out (flame free environment please as I have misplaced my nomex underwear this evening)

Haven't handled any of the newer tools except a new pair of gerber pliers I got last christmas. The quality of the new gerber pliers seems to be a bit inferior compared to my old pair. The jaws tend to bind up whenever you give the handles a decent squeeze, and the slide button assemblies look a bit cheaper than my old ones.

I have a super tool I carry as an edc. I have had the wave and it works great also. Have had two SAK 's and they just don't seem to handle things as well as the leathermans. Go to the leatherman web site. They offer a pocket clip as an option for two of their leatherman's (not for sure which ones)

I've had a swiss tool rs for years. Have many other Leathermans, Gerbers and Sogs but the swiss tool is my edc. Got toasted a couple weeks ago and lost it somewhere opening beer bottles, had one overnight shipped the next day.

I really like my Swisstool Spirit. Great tools in a conveniently sized package.

As far as I am concerned, the best multitool is the Leatherman Charge Ti. Titanium handles, 154CM knife blade, bronze washers.

My Swisstool RS rocks. LMs have never done it for me - great ideas, less than great execution in the two I've owned. I haven't owned any other makes. If Vnox ever discontinues the RS, I'm going to have to order about four.
