I don't know much about them, had a Wave for a short time but my son talked me out of it.....so:

1. I want a Multi that has 1-plain & 1-serrated blade(no combos).
2. No sissors.
3. Plain blade MUST NOT be narrow.(didn't like the Wave's blade)

From that I see the Leatherman ST300 and the SOG Assisted open, the SwissA Sprit S. What do you think?

QUESTION cont:
4. Are the SOGs able to be "opened" Are they screwed together?...so you can change the componments?
5. Can you remove the wirecutters on the SOG?

Thanks

4. SOG actually encourages users customizing the tool loadouts on their MTs. They sell the tool required and the various tools parts for pretty cheap.

5. I want to say yes to this, but I'm not 100% positive...

The ST300 is a hulking piece of metal, you have to be sure you're ready to carry such an intrusive tool. The PowerAssist and Swiss Spirit S are likely the safer choices. And don't forget that the handle that contains the blades on the blades in the PowerAssist house ONLY the blades, no other tools are in that handle so you won't get as many tools in the total package.

Thanks!
The 300 is a hulk:D, well I am a small person so I can strike that one.
The other two are more like the Wave in size and weight, i guess?
My eyes glaze over sometimes when looking at a compairson chart.

The Spirit S ( two blades , one serrated sheep'sfoot and one plain edge ) , impeccable piece of work !

...3. Plain blade MUST NOT be narrow.(didn't like the Wave's blade)...

All of the recommendations are great multi-tools but many of them have blades that are narrow in comparison to the Wave's blade. The design of folding plier multi-tools requires the blade to be somewhat narrow in order to fit inside the handles. I really like carrying the SwissTool Spirit X (you'd want the Spirit S instead) but the blade may be a bit narrow for your tastes. The very tip of the Wave blade is narrower in comparison but the entire length of the plain edge blade on the Spirit S is much more narrow. If you just don't like the narrow tip of the Wave blade, the SwissTool and the PowerAssist would probably be my recommendations. And if you don't mind the narrow belly of the SwissTool Spirit S plain edge blade, then I'd recommend it as a smaller alternative.

Here's a quick (and ugly) photo comparison:

5. Can you remove the wirecutters on the SOG?

The entire plier/cutter head is removable/replaceable, not just the cutter (like on the Super Tool 300 and some of the Gerber Multi-Pliers).

I've learned a lot since posting this question. Thank you all for the help.

Ordered the SOG Powerlock. The main reason is that I can "tinker" with the tools since they can be swapped and added. I can buy other pieces at a reasonable price and the tools are not expensive.

I will remove the half serrated 3 1/3" blade and add one 3" plain and one 3" serrated along with some other fillers. It should be fun to tinker with it.

The other Multi's are fine and I'm sure would have worked out. If I get hooked, this may not be my last.:)

You can't go wrong with the PowerLock (compound leverage pliers, great wire cutter, replaceable tools). It's a personal favorite... as are many of the others mentioned in this topic :D . If you get a chance, let us know what you think of it when you get it.

I have modified my Powerlock also, adding a 2nd plain blade and the "V cutter" where the scissers used to be. The Powerlock is a nice tool along with the others mentioned here. This is my "go to" tool to cover all of my anticipated needs.
