Multi-tool vs Big blades

Okay, here's a topic for discussion:
What can your favorite multi-tool do that a big blade (5" blade or larger) cannot?
What can your favorite big blade do that a multi-tool cannot?
 
I, for one, don't have PLIERS on ANY of my large knives. (I use them frequently to crimp and tighten.)
 
Blade advantage - cut through heavy materials with ease, stronger...

Multi tool advantage - has tools like allen keys, phillips head screwdriver, pliers...

Not much overlap in abilities, IMHO.

I would rather saw fire wood with my multi-tool than chop it, it's safer.

I can dig and pry with my Buck Intrepid much better than any multi-tool.

Some may disagree but the multi-tool doesn't seem to turn as many heads when out in public.Knowing that some people are uneasy about large blades,I try to limit my use of them to around the yard and house.
