multi-tool

Yes I do!

Having said that, I don't think we will see anything like that anytime soon, based on other threads with suggestions. Jeff is pretty busy with everything going on, and the current lineup of new products (Junglas, light matchete, Izula folder).

I would still buy one if they made it!

like Grover said they have a full plate as it is, would it be cool? yes. will it happen any time soon? no.

I have a SOG Powerlock that I use a ton so don't need a different tool. Personally I'd rather see ESEE knives keep making good knives, maybe a folder or two, some packs and survival items. Maybe they could make a neat multitool case?

An ESEE miltitool would certainly kick the Leatherman Supertool out of my rotation for a while. What would you like to see in it aside from:
Pliers
Wirecutters
ScrewDriver/Bits
Knife/Saw Blade
???

Hate to say it but I don't think that ANYTHING would replace the Leatherman Supertool on my hip (Other then another one). Been in the Army for 15 years now and I've tried all sorts of tools (bought in the beginning and then issued). For the last 10 years (Ten) I've had a Supertool and I don't have any plans to change it. The only thing that I've had to do is get a new sheath for it. I've been around the world (Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Middle East, Europe) and my Leatherman has faithfully followed.

My $0.02.

There are dozens of great tools out there...I'd rater see ESEE stick with packs/knives/machetes..

Think about it though...What has Leatherman, SOG or Victorinox done over the past 20 years already that ESEE can do better?

:D I am just waiting on the Folder

+1 for the SOG Powerlock.
I don't see that the time spent in R&D to improve on what is already out there would be worth it. A Multitool is a lot more complicated than a knife.
I also can't wait for the Izula folder!
(I would buy it if they made it, though!)

Pelton and I have had way too many beers in the last few weeks discussing this and we are actually working on some initial ideas to be markted through the DPX line. Won't be a Rowen made tool but it will be unique. Not sure when all this will take place though.

The Leatherman charge tti and rest of his multi-tools are like ESEE rc-6 and the rest of the blades. Setting the standard and way ahead of the game. It would be really hard for either to catch the other in their fields. It takes so much time to just stay ahead in one. KNIFEABILITY-a must for all humans

Jeff, why would you do that to yourself. Now you will have people asking about the ESEE/DPX multi-tool every single day :)

Oh well, when is it out again?:D

Great, now I'm going to have to replace my Super Tool.. :D

Fit a Junglas and Izzie into those somehow?

And I want an Esee Jetpack...though I may accidently hurt my legs while flying cause my childish tendency to need to feel like I was in the Rocketeer movie... lol.
