I can't get dressed in the morning without having my Leatherman on my belt. It is the one item I constantly EDC along with a UNK or PSK. I have damn near every Leatherman tool ever made. I've been looking real hard at the new M.U.T. I rotate them every so often but mainly carry the Super Tool 200. I use the large leather sheath that fits the Surge and Core. I put a Eze Lap sharpener and LMF Army firesteel in the side slots on the sheath. I also have the Victorinox Swisstool and Spirit. These are excellent tools.
What do you guys carry for a multi tool if you carry one?
Scott

Scott I am with you on the Leatherman supertool 200 or I carry the wave model. I always have to have my multitool with me. Never ending number of tasks that it performs.I once seen a hunting show where the guide said he only used a supertool for gutting a skinning elk and deer.

Funny you say that about the guide. When I was a knife dealer and set up at gunshows, I remember talking with a fellow who had a well worn Leatherman SuperTool sheath on his belt. He elk hunted every year in Colorado and all he used to gut and skin the elk was his supertool. He had a saw for quartering it.

The Swisstool Spirit is my favorite multitool right now, thanks for recommending it :D. I've had a Wave, new Wave, Kicks, Juices, Squirts, Skeletool, Skeletool CX. The only one I have is my new design Wave right now. Great multitool, but not as good as my Spirit.

I thought the MUT is mainly for M4/M16/AR-15 maintenance?

Scott, I have quite a few... Used to carry one all the time. At work I either need a small "tweaker" (screw driver) or my whole tool bag. Being an industrial electrician in a large (dirty nasty) facility I would have thought I would carry one more often but so far that hasn't proven so.

I have had my eye on a swiss tool for my off time and maybe even for my woods walking... Just not too sure...

Now... when I was in the Army (and as a contractor afterward) I always had one on me and used it for everything, like you it was a Supertool 200. It's been in my truck and untouched for almost 9 years.

I might rather cut a hand than get rid of my leatherman charge ti. I carry it and use it everyday. I use it yesterday to clean an elk for a guy I took hunting. It's rare, but when I have to dress up I pack a skeletool.

I have 4 ST300's and 1 MUT. I prefer the ST300 for daily use but the MUT is cool and has good tools for cleaning the AR. I have a Bushmaster so that gave me the excuse also I am in the Army, another excuse for the MUT.

Oh! Leatherman is the only MT brand I have, that is pliers based, I have Vic SAKs but no
pliers based MT from them.

This is a true story, we were issued a Gerber for a tour to Iraq, I gave that Gerber away and carried a Leatherman Wave at the time. Now I go with only the bigger models hince my love for the ST300.

I have or have had just about every multi tool. The two I favor are the Leatherman Charge in camo which stays in my truck and the Vic Spirit which is always on my side. The one cool thing on the Charge is the additional screw drivers bits, etc.

I can't remember ever purchasing a multi-tool for myself over the years. However, an old employer (large organization) would quarterly purchase the Leatherman tools for the employees by the box. Eventually, we had more Leatherman tools than employees! My desk drawer was packed with the things and I tried to give 'em out like candy when I could. Anyway, I still have several of the original "Leatherman Pocket Survival Tools" (PST) and, I still use and carry them because of their light weight and compact dimensions. When not carrying the PST, I have a Leatherman "Super Tool" and a much newer "Blast." A Leatherman "Micra" is with me always. One of the shop drawers has an assortment of Gerber multi-tools, a few other odds and end brands, but the Leatherman's are what I use the most.

Like I mentioned in my second sharpening vid, I'm a gadget freak. I have the ratchet, extension & bits that comes with the Vic Spirit. I also have the bits and bit driver extensions for the Leathermans also the tool adapters for the Leathermans that are now discontinued.
I use my Leatherman daily for one thing or another. Handy in the shop.

I have some of those for the Leatherman brand. Seems that my little Leatherman kits came in a leather case (need to check that). Quality tools but I'm not sure if I ever needed the bit and driver sets. I'm sure if I left them at home, I would have a need for 'em. :)

I rotate between a Leatherman Supertool 300, Or one of my 3 reg supertools, or my Skeletool with tool kit. I love them all.

Ive packed a swisstool spirit for a little over 4 years now. Its done alot of stuff. From skinning catfish and rigging up poles, to leather work, impromptu car fixes, and many other tasks. I find a multitool to be very usefull, and I am partial to the Victorinox ones. SOG makes a nice one too, and I loved the Charge Ti I gifted to my dad. It had a pocket clip that I would really like to see made for the Vic. It made the heft of a multitool easy to carry in the pocket. My youngest son has a Leatherman kick that he carries everywhere. It was his first knife. (hes 7) I wanted him to associate a knife with tools and a multitool just made sense.

I've never carried one. Don't know why....just too complicated for me I guess...too much going on. I own a couple but they have minimal use. I always have a small/large fixed blade depending on the job and a traditional slippy

Scott I was counting my multi tools and I have 3 L.M. and 2 gerbers. To tell you how use full they are back in 02 we were in the middle of nowhere in Quebec coming back from a caribou hunt. The wires on the trailer burnt up. We re wired that trailer with just my supertool. That is why I always have one on me.There seems to be a million uses.

You don't won't to know how many I have. :D I'm a multi tool whore. Amazing how handy they are, great story Mike.

Leatherman Supertool. Have one for my duty belt and one for my off duty belt.

Don't leave home without it 'cause that's when I'll need it.
