Here’s my latest, a recurve fighter/bowie with 12” blade and overall length of about 17”. It is a second iteration of the last integral kukri I built, ordered in a more western style.

The blade has got a tall hollow grind, and is pretty light and fast for its size… balance point is about 1.5 inches before the guard. The clip grind aids in this.

The construction is full integral, with the blade and guard in 6 bar explosion pattern weld. The handle is sculpted G10. A piece of steel, a handle block, and a pin- pretty simple knife.

Here’s some pics and a vid, you don’t have to enjoy it but I hope you will! Thanks for looking.

That's a magnificent piece of Art my friend!!!! :)

The Damascus is extraordinary as is the construction and superb sculpting of that handle....all virtual perfection.

Look great as always, Salem. How many layers and what are the steels? (hopefully that info wasn't in the video).

Salem, the progression and development of your damascus and handle sculpting over the last few years is pretty amazing.
Great work! Gives me something to aspire to.

Pure talent Salem - well done:thumbup:

Very cool design. I always enjoy seeing what you've come up with.
I'm sure the owner will be impressed and overjoyed when they have it in hand.
Great looking damascus.

Thanks everyone!
Billy-O, to answer your question, the steels are 1080 and 15n20, and the layup is as follows:
13 layer billet, welded, then crushed sideways, drawn, cut into four, stacked welded and drawn, cut into four, stacked welded and drawn into 1/2" square.
Six 10" long 1/2" square bars, 3 twisted RH, 3 twisted LH, and re-squared. Welded alternating twists into 6 bar billet.

Very Nice Salem this is one of those knives I see it and i really want to get my hand around the handle
