Anyone know where I can get multi node sticks? I would like to get some with about 8-9 nodes.

I am looking for escrima sticks that have 8-9 nodes per stick if that makes sense?

Unless you're getting them for show, I wouldn't bother. 1" + rattan with the skin left on is fine for heavy hitting. They generally have 3-4 nodes and are quite dense. I find they last longer then many of the fancy burn patterned/shiny multi-node sticks. And being cheaper, you don't mind burning them up in heavy bridging and ranging drills.

Just saying.

Now, if you're looking for something that will last (but you won't get that nice burning rattan smell), go to your local plastic supplier and by some acetyl rod/Delrin. 1" thick by 30" ran me about $8.00 a stick. They're unbreakable and have a nasty, bone penetrating quality when you hit with them. Only problem is they'll shred your training partners rattan very quickly. They are heavier then equivalent sized rattan sticks...they aren't traditional.....but they are nasty.;)

All you need is love........and a sharp blade.....a hardwood flat stick......Oh, oh, oh and a Paraordinance lda 14.45 loaded with 230 grain hydra shocks, ranger SXT's or golden sabres

Hmmm I get my sticks from my PG Bob.

He comes with a bag full of sticks, multi node unfinished, even those extra thick ones.

If you keep looking I'm sure you'll find some.

The truth about rattan is that the more nodes the better. Why? They're more durable. Go

for nodes and straightness of the stick. I prefer unfinished simply because they're

straight-forward no nonsense. Good thing to look for these, try someplace like

www.kaligear.com ... I know that Kris Cutlery sells sticks too, shoot him an email.

www.kriscutlery.com ... or you may try atf (all things filipino):

they seem pretty up on sticks. maybe shoot them an email too.

Also you should scout around there may be Filipino shops or stores which carry these

sticks in bulk, it's not unheard of. Ask some hardcore players in your area!

Peace, ~John.
