What do you guys do when you wanna switch the type of lubricant you're using? I'm using tuf glide at the moment but I really wanna try out some nano oil. My question is if the knife is already lubed up with tuf glide do I need to take it apart and clean all the tuf glide off before applying any new lubricant or should I just start using the new lube? Asking cause I have some spydercos that I dont wanna take apart cause of the warranty voidance issues.

I don't use much tuf glide on my knives but rather on my guns but I do think tuf glide is not a lubricant but a corrosion preventive.

So yes, I use them together. For lube, I use a lithium based gun grease(I like the grease because it stays where it's applied) and the tuff glide for corrosion prevention.

Are there different types of tuf glide cause the one I use actually says lubricant on it as you can see. Have you ever tried nano oil?

Some lubricants don't mix well. In particular, it seems like silicone-based lubes get nasty if mixed with oil-based lubes. Did that once, and made a gummy mess of my knife's pivot. I don't like to chance it anymore, so I generally avoid applying any new/different lube without thoroughly cleaning the old stuff out first.

if you read the back side of the package it says it puts on some barrier that prevents rust from happening not takes rust away. I put it on my very cheap swords that I was selling wow no more rust. problem solved.

Yep, same product. I just find that tuf glide doesn't feel like it reduces friction between contacting metal parts. It does however, prevent rust quite well for me(I live near the coast). WD-40 also claims to be a lubricant. ;)
