Greetings o' powers-that-be,
How do I make multiple quotes, from different posters of the same thread, into my reply?

Thank you in advance,
Mongo

I don't think there is an automated or built in way to do that with this software (at least that I have seen).

When I have done it, I hit the quote button. Copy and past say to notepad, cancel then continue with the next one.

When they are all gathered up in notepad, Copy that into your new post.

Kind of like what shows up in this post.
1. I hit the quote button on your post.
2. Copied and pasted the contents into notepad.
3. Hit back button on browser.
4. Hit quote button on my most.
5. Copied and pasted the contents into the same notepad window below yours.
6. Hit back putton.
7. copied the contents out of notepad into the new reply.

Scroll through the thread and find the posts you want to quote.

For each post, hit this button.

This button will highlight red.

When you're ready to post, hit the Quote button, and all the highlighted posts will show up quoted in your post.

It doesn't work very well if you're trying to quote across pages of a thread... it really works best when all the quotes are on the same page.

Thanks y'all... I did things backwards as usual. I went to the FAQ's and actually found out how to do it. Sorry for my poor planning. I'll go sit in the corner for an hour.

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I did this within the forum software, not Notepad. Thanks Watchful.

You can also click the + quote button on posts in other threads all over the forums and it will give you the option of including the quotes in your post. like I did here:

Both of you..knock it off. This is not the forum for your battle of "wits". :grumpy:

what does that mean ,, is it cos i gave an opinion on a subject ?

i see , no freedom of speech on this forum them ,, errr ok delete my account
prolly just a case of english v american way of speech ,, but i understand .
