Was there ever a traditional pattern you felt was so perfect that you have bought multiples of? Case in point, just paid for my third 2014 bladeforums knife... Also 48 single blade, i have it in stag, and maroon linen micarta, and single blade trappers from various companies like HMT, Queen. Different handle scales count.

Certainly on some patterns & configurations. Typically my thought process is one to use & one to put up. You're in good company

The 73. I finally managed to let go of all but 5 of them. :D

If I was buying the 77 would be next especially since it has more blade options.

yup, definitely agree, one to use one to stock. sometimes i feel bad about carrying a brand new knife, that ill buy a used one just so the hard use that might happen doesnt bug me. the other day i dropped my used queen #11 slim trapper on the hospital floor, if it was a new one id have been a little upset.

27 Barlows, 11 stockman 3 Sod busters, 6 trappers and the list goes on.

The pattern used for the TL-29, the Sodbuster and single bladed Barlows are the patterns I want multiples of.

I'm partial to lots of patterns, probably pen knives being my most prolific, Stockman and Whittler patterns next, followed by Congress. If I had to pick a traditioal pattern that's my favorite would be a 3 blade Stockman with jigged bone scales, Winterbottom Bone if I had my ruthers... :)

Two Buck 310s, numerous Vic Classics, at least two Vic Rallys, two Vic Tinkers, and somehow I managed to buy two Vic Bantams.

I have two each of the Northwoods whittler, the queen canoe, and the Boker congress. I use one and have one tucked away for when the first wears out or gets lost:)

I have a thing for Barlows, 50 or more at this point, new and vintage.

I was a bit premature with my "no multiples" claim. I just realized I have 2 (had 3) SAK Alox Cadets in black and red. I had a silver one but I gave it to me son to use when opening his toys.

Holy moly!! I don't have a single one of those and it's one of my most favorite patterns. I guess I don't have one because I can't find a good single bladed Barlow that I can turn into a user. I have run across a few multi-bladed ones that were ok but they were the dime store cheapies or in such bad condition I didn't want to mess with them. The search continues.
