Multiples???

Well, had my annual "thinkin" event last night, and was wondering what models you have multiples of??

And I think in this case, let's define multiples as more than three.

Are they multiples of same version (black/black, black/blue, etc), multiples that show "evolution" (SHSH2 with progressive plunge line distinctions), variation of thickness (ex. Satin Jack, 0.270, 0.25, 3/16), grind variations?? Other differences??? No differences??

For me, Assault Shakers, Mean Streets, and Game Wardens.

I'll get some pics up this weekend, but figured I'd toss this out to see what the trough comes back with.
 
This should be interesting. I know there are Porkers who had large collections of SFNO and FSH. Then there is Foo with his harem of Mistresses. :D

I was going through my collection some few months ago, and realized that there were a lot of recurved blades. Down to three skinny Game Wardens now, but still have a few Mistresses. Have to get some pics up.
 
5 NMFBM’s (not counting six I’ve given to family members); 3 black paper/satin; 2 CG

14 S5 LE’s, 9 of which have been modified, 6 of those by Ban. The 5 stock/unmodified I will eventually let go, but all have sheaths and the market is soft right now, so I'll sit tight.

I have up to three of a few other models, but not more than three.

After seeing how some are responding here, and depending on how you categorize, a few more of mine might fall into the "more than 3" column:

I have a couple of CG BWMs, a BWMLE and one FFBM user, so if the category were "Battle Mistresses", my total would be nine including the 5 NMFBM's.

Also, I have a total of 11 Basics, but no more than three of any one size unless you count my Basic 5 customized w/stag handle along with three others--a factory stripped/thinned B5, a smoothie B5 user and one pristine crinkle B5. Resiprene-C, baby--it's what feeds my obsession. :)

I believe I have about 17 GW's. All but 2 are satin. 1 is a BAD Warden. My honest fav but can't use it. It's just criminal. LOL

oh wait. I've got 2 Skellies. That's 19.

14 of them are in a display case. All manner of satin regular offerings and satin CS offerings. It's pretty cool. I really need to hang it up on the wall. ROTFL!

I used to collect Snakeskin. I've let go a few of those pieces. I'm not sure I have even 3 left, not including the GW-LE.
 
I have multiples of Active Duties and Battle Mistresses. I'll see if I can get some pics up later.
 
GWs, ADs, various forms of Meaners, SFNOs, all forms of BMs, HHFSHs, Rucks, AKs and the Satin Jack. Those are my principal sins.

Also, a few multiples of 'special' Busses.


Sorry: forgot the Culties, some HACKs, Badger Attacks, ... I've got it bad.

I think one of the genius concepts of Jerry's marketing is the fact that you CAN get multiple blade color and handle colors. If one were to buy a "normal" combat blade, it usually comes from most manufactures in one color option and most don't give the option of mag handles vs normal, G10 vs canvas and man the blade options are also numerous. If I bought say a knife like the new Gerber LHR.. and I thought it was the most awesome knife ever, I may get one more as a backup. BUT with Jerry's multiple options,... you lay there at night and think what would be some incredible looking knives in all the color options that jerry offers... Then you get stuff like 13 ASH1s, 12 FSHs, 10 SFNOs... you get the idea.. of all the "other" knives I own, I might have 2 of a good design, but with Busse.... HA... Jerry knows how to sell his INFI :-)
 
I'm way behind you guys,but I've only been a piglet since March. Have 10 BM's and quite a few ones and twos. What did I do the rest of my life?

2 FSHs , 2 BADs, 2 Culties.. all the rest are lonely and looking for expansion :D
 
only a couple of meaner twins: one unused, one that was used to the point where the coating started to chip off and I had to strip. oh, and a couple of S5 LEs: again, one user, and one with my JYD number that just sits there and looks pretty. and swamp wardens, but they aren't twins. if I can swing it I'll get another HRLM for backup, and at some point another BAD so the one I have now doesn't get so lonely. I know it's ridiculous, but I really like having one user and one I can keep in pristine condition, because while every busse (and rat and dog) is a user, to me each that I like enough to purchase is also a work of art. a functional work of art, granted, but a work of art nonetheless, and I like being able to handle a brand new busse and enjoy the aesthetics.

My S5LE's all have the same basic mod, which is having the thumb ramp on the spine removed. The ones by Ban also have full convex jobs and radiused spines -- the one pictured in my post above is one of his and the others are just like it. So not all that exciting to look at--thanks for the compliment, though. :)

Really looking forward to pics of your mistresses and recurves. :thumbup:

David, you are an animal when it comes to those Hacks. :eek: Super cool pic.
 
It surprised me when I realized there were this many recurves, it wasn't anything intentional. Two non-Busse included.

Are you guys trying to tell me some of you have more then one of the same model? No way, wow, that's unheard of. =)
 
the only 'identical' multiples I have are safe queen spares for most of my primary users, I've gotten rid of most of my 'extras'.

Great range of user-friendly models there--super nice collection. :thumbup:

I'd suggest you cull that abomination in the lower right of the top photo, though--it's throwing off the ambiance of the rest of the shot. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help with that. :D

I'm with you--getting rid of "extras", just keeping "spares". :D
