I spend allot of time in the woods, and I bring far too many knives with me.. I was wondering how many of those of you that participate in hunting or fishing, have used your multitools or Saks for the cleaning of fish and/o small game..I'm not Joe Sportsman or anyting but I am out allot and sometimes participate in these activities. Thanks in Advance.

As far as implements made for this purpose, I can think of the fish scaler/hook disgorger, and a bird hook (I think there's a SAK with a bird hook?).

I have skinned squirrels with a Huntsman SAK. It worked just fine. I don't think I would like to skin a larger animal with it, but it can be done.

When I catch fish, I usually wait until I get home to clean them. Since I like to fillet my fish, I use a fillet knife.
If you are going to clean panfish for frying or whatever, the 91 mm SAK's blade will do nicely for gutting and scaling. I personally think the larger 111mm would be even better.

If I had to spend several days or weeks in the outdoors, I think a good khukuri combined with a SAK would do all I needed to do knifewise. But I guess that is best discussed in W&SS.
