Went fishing yesterday on a cold windy day. Had to collect wood and make a fire before fishing. Between the fish biting and keeping the fire going I stayed rather busy. Kept track of how many times I used my Mora Clipper and Leatherman Kick. Used the multitool a lot more and really only needed the Mora Clipper one time, when I needed to sharpen a large stick . The other two times I used the fixed blade, my multitool knife would have been adequate. Had a malfunctioning lighter that I fixed with the Kick . Without the multitool, I probably dont get a fire going.

Ill always carry a knife, but a pliar based multitool is being carried on just about every excursion. Now I want one with a saw blade and diamond file.

Multi-tools are so useful I have started carrying one all the time. Usually it is a Kick with the pocketclip.

My new Victorinox multitool arrived yesterday, but I can`t have it untill Christmas. :grumpy:

Dang stomper that sucks lol. I bet you can hardly wait for Christmas now though lol.
Dipbait, I carry a leatherman wave every day. Multi tools are so freaking cool. I agree with you you will like having the saw and file if you fined a multi tool you like. I use my saw blade quite a bit for the things I do . they are just awesome.
So did you catch any fish?

Caught a lot of fish. Had the same results last week at the same spot. Only took one pic this week. A buffalo.

I spend a lot of time at this spot. Thinking about constructing a primitive camp here.

Im leaning toward a Wave.

Dipbait,

I started with the Kick, but quickly moved on to the Charge TTi. I've carried it everyday for two years now and it get's plenty of use each and every day.

The Wave is basically the same version, but a little cheaper. The TTi has a S30v blade.

I'm kind of a multi-tool freak. I have a Charge TTi, a Charge Ti, 2 Waves, a Surge, a Kick, a Juice Cs4, a Skeletool, a Vic SwissTool, a Vic Spirit, a Sog Powertool, and a Paladin.

I've got them stashed all over the place. Some go in BOB's, some in vehicles, some hang around the computer desk.

I've carried my SOG Paratool or Powerlock daily for years.

I remember getting the Paratool a very long time ago as a gift. I opened it and thought" what am I gonna do with a gadget like this ?". My assumtion was that it would sit in a drawer until I eventually just threw it out.

How more wrong could I have been ??!!!

All Hail THE MULTI-TOOL !!!!!!!!

I love a good multi... :)

Nice fish man... I passed through your way last weekend on the way to my folks....

i carried a SOG powerlock for a while but gave it to a good friend of mine. never really used the pliers. the sak oht i got is great though! i just recently got a bunch of wood from a state park that was doing some campsite trimming.
