Hi all!

I am now looking new pliered multi tool. Leatherman blast is good as is pulse but... Later my finger joints have started to hurt seriously when using them. I am looking something else you can use without need to extend your fingers so much as with newer Leatherman's.

I've been looking that reason Leatherman Freestyle or Skeletool series tools or Victorinox Swiss tool spirit. Or Leatherman Juice series.

I only need a good set of pliers and knife to carry with me. Any tools that come with tool are bonus. Also relatively light weight is bonus.

All good tools!

The Skeletool and Freestyle while cool looking, and do have a good knife is not exactly what I would call or say "feels good in the hand" but it may be different for you but I've read a few threads saying how "different" they feel in your hand.

The juice is a good small/lite MT but the tools can be hard to get out, but a nice small size, ergonomic.... ehh

The Swisstool Spirit is ergonomic and very nice tool selection, good weight and has the best quality.

Good luck ;)

Hopefully someday multitool makers will catch the ergonomic bug, and then things will change.
Until that day the Victorinox Swisstool Spirit will likely (IMO) remain the most ergonomic of the multitools.

I bought my nephew a Skeletool for Christmas and before wrapping it up spent some time examining it. It has a very good one hand opening knife blade and full size pliers. I found the handle to be quite comfortable. I tested it by cutting a coat hanger wire and it performed on par with my Wave. I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone as long as the limited number of tools wasn't an issue.

I've also recently bought a Juice CS4. I like it a lot, but wouldn't recommend it to someone who needed to cut wire as I found it to be very incomfortable cutting coat hanger wire. The pliers are considerably smaller than on the Wave or Skeletool, but if all someone needed was the pliers and not the cutter then the Juice might suffice.

I think you posted in my other threads, but I'll post the links anyway.

A wise man one said that if breasts were made of stainless steel , they would feel a lot like the handles of a Spirit .

It really depends on your hands :) Personally, I think the Skeletool feels great in hand, and so does my ST300.

I like the Gerber tools in my hand. The spread on the leatherman is too big for me.
