Just received the 5" mungo kris from knifezilla. Ordered it on a wim and really was not expecting much in the way of quality. To my suprise the fit and finish is really quite good very little blade play and latches up real nice and man is it sharp. I know imports run hot and cold with quality maybe i just lucked out.

Yeah, I picked one of those up (also on a wim :)) from a local head shop. I gotta say, for a $30 bali, it's a whole lot of fun to flip around! Although when I bought mine, while walking to my car from the shop, I gave her a good squeeze that one of the pins snapped. It was a new record for me. :D Be prepared to replace the pins. It's not that hard, and it'll actually keep you knife lasting longer. New pins keep the parts of the handles that go around the blade staight.

yea, i've been eyeing the mungo kris for a while....Has anyone had the filipino made kris or spear balisongs yet? they look nice, but i dunno. I really wish BM or Jaguar had some stilleto blades......

i just posted a thread called batangas kris about 4 days ago, some people replied talkin about the quality of it. Check it out
